Alpha Feeds are a bit of a strange company in the sense of where they have targeted their food. There's no denying it's a cheap option, and ingredient-wise it doesn't seem as cheap-n-cheerful as some, but generally it's beef centred which in the grand old scheme of things is considered more prone to be the source of food intolerance than other protein sources.
However, within the general products there is a Sensitive food which might be considered to be closer to a premium diet. So, you pay your money and make your choice!
Cereal-wise they tend to like wheat which it is acknowledged is one which does cause problems with some dogs. The Sensitive food seems to be the best option if you are happy with a beef-based diet.
If you are looking for a natural premium food for your dog then it might be better to consider one of the other premium brands, but if finances won't stretch to that then the Alpha Sensitive is better value than many others at that price.
